Pat has experience in bikepacking with friends, they’re a ride leader for the New Forest Off Road Club and they run a community bike workshop from their shed. Pat’s top tips for bikepacking adventures

  1. Always take more food than you think you need. Double up on the amount. That’s what is going to keep you going.

  2. For your first trip try and keep it local. Cycle out to a local campsite or use a well known pre-planned route to take the pressure off.
